Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance (JIEBF
The Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance is published four times in a year by Islami Bank Training and Research Academy. The Journal appears in English, in January, April, July and October and is publishing from the year 2005. All the articles published in the Journal since 2008 are available in full text version. The ISSN No. of the Journal is- ISSN 2070-4658, Key title: Journal of Islamic economics, banking and finance (Print), Abbreviated key title: J. Islam. econ. bank. finance (Print).
JIEBF is now featured in the 2009 issue of the Cabell's Publishing Directory, which is widely used by the North American Scholars, Policymakers and Academicians.
JIEBF now appears in the New Journal section of the Annotated Listing of New Books department of the December 2008 issue of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL). In addition, the journal has been evaluated for acceptance and now appears in the Journal of Economic Literature Index (EconLit).
JIEBF is a listed Journal in the Ulrich's database and also listed in Australian Database ERA (Excellence for Research in Australia) (Journal List).

Aims and Scope
|
|
The Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance is a journal for applied research in development and Islamic economics, aimed at enhancing cooperation among the Islamic institutions, Islamic financial institutions, researchers, people and students who are interested in Islamic economics and finance.
The Journal gives special attention to those papers which deal with the potentials for and possibilities of promoting and expanding economic and technical cooperation among various conventional and Islamic financial institutions of the world.
The articles in this Journal may be freely quoted or reprinted provided that the source is mentioned and a copy of the publication containing the quotation or reprint is sent to Islami Bank Training and Research Academy.

Subscription charge for every issue of the Journal is BDT Tk. 250 (excluding postal charge) for Bangladesh only and $20 (excluding postal charge) for outside Bangladesh.

Note to Contributors
|
|
The Journal of Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance is a referred journal and publishes articles in areas of both Conventional and Islamic Economics, covering theoretical and applied aspects of Economics, Finance and Banking, as well as problems of economic development, in particular of Bangladesh and other developing Islamic countries. While sending articles for publication in the Journal, the contributors are requested to follow the following rules:

Submission
|
- Articles should be typed in double space on one side of A4 size paper with generous margin, and should not usually exceed 6000 words (including footnotes, tables and graphs). Each article should have an abstract within approximately 150 words. The article should be sent in duplicate, a soft copy in MS Word to the editor and to the email address: journal@ibtra.com with the following page setup.
- The editor should not mention his name and address on the text of the paper. A separate sheet bearing his full name, affiliation, mailing address and telephone number should be sent along with the main paper.
- Articles submitted for publication in the Journal must not have been accepted for publication elsewhere.
- Tables, graphs and maps may be used in the article. The title and source(s) of such tables, etc. should be mentioned.
- If the Editorial Board is of the opinion that the article provisionally accepted for publication needs to be revised, shortened, or particular expressions therein need to be deleted or rephrased, such requested to recast any article in response to the comments made thereon by the reviewers.
- The numbering of the footnote will be consecutive, and the footnotes themselves will be placed at the end of the article.
- Articles, not accepted for publication, will not be returned to the author.
- A token honorarium of BDT 7,500.00 will be paid for each published article.

In the list of the references at the end of the article, the entry in the case of articles should be in the following manner:
Siddique, H. G. A., "Export Potentials of Ready-made Garments Industry: A Case Study of Bangladesh", The Dhaka University Studies, Vol. 2, No. 1, 1982, pp. 1, 66-67.
In the case of books, the following order should be observed: author, title, place of publication, name of publisher, date of publication, and page number.
For example: Hye, Hasnat Abdul, Integrated Approach to Rural Development, Dhaka University Press Limited, 1984, pp. 3-4.
References cited in the text should be by the author's last name, the year of publication, and the page number of the cited work, for example, (Siddique, 1982:72).

Book Review
|
New books (on Islamic economics, finance and banking as well as on issues and problems of economic development) will be reviewed in the Journal on request. Authors/Publisher may send two copies of each book to the editor for the purpose of review.
